In 1997, Dr Myra Elliott, a Singaporean dentist and oral maxillofacial surgeon, began conducting missions to various developing countries with the vision of providing free, sustainable healthcare to those who need it most. Global Clinic was born out of these initial efforts.
Since then, with the help of hundreds of other compassionate doctors, nurses and non-medical volunteers, it has snowballed into a force of good that has changed the lives of some 35,000 people.
